Year Three: Team Brenz Runs for Nationwide Children's

This is the third year Team Brenz has run for Nationwide Children's Hospital. More than 12 of us laced up this time, and the distances ran from the 5K all the way to the full marathon. Anyone on the team could pick the distance that fit them, and Brenz covers every runner's race fees, so the only thing left to do was train and show up.

Every year the run is about someone. This year we ran for Kaden, Natalie, Nora and Brynn. Their names were on our minds on the long training runs and on race day, and they're a big part of why the team keeps coming back.

The money raised goes to the NICU at Nationwide Children's, the neonatal intensive care unit, where the youngest patients are cared for. A run is one way to help, and the Loaded Potato is another. Thirty percent of every Loaded Potato sold goes to the NICU, and the pizza stays on the menu through Saturday, October 31, 2026. It's a garlic butter pizza with seasoned potatoes, bacon and caramelized onion, and if you've been meaning to try it, you can feed your dinner and the NICU at the same time.
